Journal Entry, Day 1

Welcome to New England!

As I packed my bags, hopped on my flight and arrived in the great city of Boston, I couldn’t help but think about the amazing sights I was about to experience as it was my first time coming to New England and experiencing the gorgeous autumn leaves. My all-inclusive vacation package was about to begin, taking me through the timeless beauty of New England on an 8-day guided tour.

I arrived at Boston’s Logan International Airport, feeling the excitement of the journey ahead. After gathering our luggage, we transferred to our hotel. The city was buzzing with energy, and although our official tour hadn't begun, we took some time to explore the nearby streets and take in the sights. The crisp autumn air and the golden hues of the trees lining the streets gave us our first taste of the New England autumn leaves tour experience.

That evening, we met our Tour Director and fellow travelers at a welcome wine & cheese reception. It was a lovely way to break the ice and get to know some of the people we’d be traveling with over the next few days. With a glass of wine in hand and a plate of delicious cheeses, we chatted about our shared excitement for the adventure ahead.

Afterward, we had the evening at leisure to dine at one of Boston’s many wonderful restaurants. As we wandered through the streets of downtown Boston, we could feel the deep sense of history and culture surrounding us. It was a relaxed and enjoyable evening, and we turned in early to rest up for the start of our tour the next day.
